Julie Riddle and Marc Beaudin will read from selected works, answer audience questions, and sign books at this free event!

Julie Riddle is the author of the new memoir, The Solace of Stones: Finding a Way through Wilderness (University of Nebraska Press/American Lives Series, April 2016). Her essay, “Shadow Animals,” which later became a chapter in the memoir, was published in The Georgia Review; the essay received a Special Mention in the 2015 Pushcart Prize anthology and was nominated for a National Magazine Award. She is the craft-essay editor for Brevity and the creative-nonfiction editor for Rock & Sling, published out of Whitworth University, where she works as senior writer for marketing and development. She holds an MFA from the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University. Marc Beaudin is the artistic director of Livingston’s Caldera Theatre Company which strives to create an environment for the exploration of theatre as the art of sharing the experience of living truthfully. He has directed, designed and acted in over sixty plays for nearly a dozen companies. Plays he has written have been produced in various theatres and festivals in Michigan, Minneapolis and Montana. In addition to theatre, he is the author of Vagabond Song: Neo-Haibun from the Peregrine Journals, a hitchhiking memoir in prose and poetry. More information is available at CrowVoice.com.
